FBI Director Robert Mueller warned in a speech delivered to Council on Foreign Relations the attacks that killed 172 people in Mumbai in November could happen in Seattle or San Diego, Miami or Manhattan (or in any part of United States). Yes the same attacks could happen not only in United Stated but any where in any continental of this world. I have wrote about this in my previous article titled “Mumbai Style Urban Warfare” and I’m republishing here for your reference. “Mumbai style Urban-Warfare”

Abu Bakar Basyhir said all three convicted Bali attackers who were executed after their final appeal failed, died as martyrs. His statement on the execution has a high impact especially among his followers and sympathiser who believe they are in right path. They believe it’s their religion obligation to liberate the South East Asia [SEA] from the so-called infidel administration.

While some analysts believe, the intelligence and security agencies have successfully dismantled JI groups; we shall not take it for granted. Terrorism and terrorist attacks in SEA is not belongs to JI only. Intelligence facts says other than JI, this region are facing various terrorist organisation such as Abu Sayaff etc.

Source from Philippines says, nearly 60 million pesos had been paid in ransom for the 33 kidnap victims in south since the start of the year. Previously only 50 rebels were in Basilan Island but the numbers have grown fast in the last four months and the major factor was the financial strength of the group.

Another source said MILF and Abu Sayaff have launched their combined group attacks where 5 soldiers were killed and more than 20 wounded. Their regrouping shall be considered as an alarming progress in counter-insurgency strategy. If this group’s can put aside their difference’s and work to achieve common objective then they might joint hand with other terrorist organisation in SEA or other part of the world to launch attacks in any of the SEA’s member country or other region.

While most of the attacks were “Suicide-Bombers” strategy, it will be totally different in coming months. The “Mumbai style Urban-Warfare” attacks were the latest and the target locations might be various. In Bojinka Project, the terrorist plan to hijack 11 planes from Philippines and used it as a weapon to attacks the various locations. It can be similar strategy to attacks the various locations at same times with only differences in method of attacks. No planes will be hijacked but the young and energetic youths might be doctrinaire to terrorise the city.

Do SEA’s country ready for “Mumbai Style Urban Warfare”? One of the major defects in Mumbai tragedy was the failure to response within 30 minutes and it’s taken more than 3 hours for Government of India to response which makes them to suffer for 60 hours.
