JI Trying to Rejuvenate

The Star news daily reported three men, who are believed to be attempting to rejuvenate the outlawed terrorist organisation Jemaah Islamiah, have been arrested under the Malaysian Internal Security Act.The trio all locals, an ordinary members of the JI aged between 43 and 53, were arrested on June 25 in Ulu Tiram and Masai in Johor by Police Special Branch division following months of investigations. It were believed all three have met with Mas Selamat Kestari when he was hidding in Ulu Tiram. Police used Section 73 (1) of the ISA that will enable the detention for 60 days. Police will continue investigating if the three had recruited any more members over the past few months. [Source: The Star]
