terrorist not Jihadist

(UPDATED: Let me put on record here, I will not address the terrorist as a Jihadist. It is very obvious that the so called Islamic State fighters are terrorising the innocent civilians once they are captured. Religion does not advocates to its followers to commit inhumane act on the innocent civilians. Therefore, whoever terrorised innocent civilians in the name of GOD, they do not deserve to be called as a jihadist.)

Local tabloid in Malaysia on 12 November 2014 has reported that seven people, all Malaysians were charged in local courts for providing various form of support to the terrorist group known as Islamic State. Those charged are between 26 and 48, relatively are doing well in their livelihood and even one working in professional sector, as a financial controller. I believe the legal actions against seven are just an icebreaking case involving Malaysians with the so called Islamic State.

2. There were various reports saying that dozens of Malaysians have cross border to Syria to be part of the terrorist group and the latest intelligence revealed at least five members have return home. Among five, three was brought under detention while another two most probably slip into the country and whereabouts of them is unknown, even though the same reports says that they are under the close watch of our intelligence. Police source said the terrorist group is strengthening and recruiting more Malaysians who will be given a military training in Syria before they were sent back to Malaysia; most probably to terrorise other fellow Malaysians who refuses to bow to their brand of Islam.

3. Just a few weeks ago the same tabloid published a press digest quoting Bukit Aman Special Counter Terrorism Division Principal Assistant Director Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Ayub Khan about the threats of terrorists. The digest had reported that terrorists have been indoctrinated with the radicalised ideology that their main enemies are non-Muslims, followed by Muslims who disagree with their doctrine of Islam.

4. While the media has reported the atrocities committed by the so called IS fighters, yet our fellow Malaysians were easily influenced to join the terrorist group. I’m wondering, what really influence them; shallow knowledge on Islam or the powerful propaganda using all kind of technology, particularly cyber media? Security analysts also have indicated that some voluntarily joint the terrorist group and in doing so, they feel more glamorous. Even some believe that being part of the terrorists group will make a man on them.

5. Will be continued... in part 2
