Cope Tiger
The United States,
Thailand and Singapore recently
hold annual Cope Tiger joint air force exercises. Planes and personnel from Singapore, Thailand
and the United States
participated in the annual air forces exercises from March 9 to 20 at the Korat
Royal Thai Air Force base. The exercise involved about 400 personnel from the United States, 1000 from Singapore and Thailand, 84 aircraft, and 38 air
defence assets. Cope Tiger is aimed at increasing readiness, cooperation, and
interoperability, including for maritime security, counterterrorism, search and
rescue, and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
