Smart Phone!!!
Few years ago when I watch Terminator; I told myself that the movie was fiction and it will never happen in our life. Machines will never be able to control peoples' mind. I enjoyed the movie and of course it remains in my mind as one of the good futuristic movie.
However, lately I realised that the concept of "Terminator", where machines control human life, may have some substance in reality. Take one machine for the example, Smart Phone. For 24 hours, 7 days a week, 30(1) days a month and 365 days a year, everywhere people are carrying smart phones. They can't stay away from holding this machine. While the main purpose of hand phone was to stay in touch with someone who are close to us but today's technology has made hand-phone more smarter. With single click we can access to almost every corner of the earth. From news to banking as well as social media. Our family time has been robbed by this machine. While there are many good things to spell out from this smart phone yet if the user fail to control their mind than the ugly thing also can happen.
Latest theft incident of a smart phone by a ill-disciplined man has caused ruckus and free-for-all riots in the city town. Unfortunately, many who took part in that incidents without any maturity decided to accept whatever feed to them through smartphone's social application. This incident has triggered my mind that technology always comes with double sword concept. It can be used for good things as well as bad things. If we accept all the "rubbish" without having second thought than for sure our life will be under the control of machines. The scenario shown in the terminator is nor far ahead; human's mind will be under machines control.
However, if we decided to filter and counter-check the information that mostly forwarded to our social media application than the "Terminator" will remain a fiction movie.
