Marawi - Wake Up Call for Southeast Asia

Terrorist attack by daesh in Marawi City is a wake up call not only for the Philippines instead for entire Southeast Asia region. 

Despite the open terrorist attack started on 23 May 2017 until today the battle is on-going and the security operators could not bring down the mini war to the end, even-though the state authority claim the siege is under control.

The failure to contain the IS affiliated group in Mindanao will bring more damages to the Philippines as well as other states within the region. 

On the same chapter, I am wondering what has happen to the peace agreement inked between Manila and MILF which by now should be implemented but remain stall after Aquino left the office? 

Any further delay to implement the peace agreement to form new autonomous political entity known as Bangsamoro in Mindanao may encourage younger generation and MILF loyalist as well as MNLF to joint hand with other rebels and terrorist groups such as daesh/asg/maute. The more Manila delay the autonomous region than the more higher possibilities and opportunities for daesh to inflame young Mindanaoan to go back to arm struggle against Manila.#
