Finally "HE" Bow

In democratic system, individual must learn to give a respect, to the people’s power and their aspiration. Do not matter whether the individual belongs to civilian community or uniform organisation. But it seems most of the third world country leaders fail due to their ignorance on this matter.
Pervez Musharraf the then army general seized power in a bloodless coup in 1999. He promised a true democracy to Pakistani. Musharraf while still in military uniform decided to run the administration of the Pakistan as a supremo of the country. Initially Pakistani believes, Musharraf will deliver but then when time passes, the reality prevails. He projected him self as a Pakistani leader but then he fail to differentiate his position as an army General with his civilian duties. No one can run the civilian country as though they run a military camp. Slowly he transform Pakistan to the authoritarian system. This has irked the Pakistani and reflected with the street demonstration even from Pakistan Bar Council after Musharraf removed the Chief Justice unconstitutionally. People’s power always wins although sometimes the victory came a bit later. Due to the pressure, Musharraf finally agreed to hang his uniform before submitting his nomination for president election. The decision has failed to cool down the people’s temper and the anger went un-control after the assassinations of Benazir Bhutto. She was expected to win with landslide majority and will be able to lead a new government. The assassination has closed all the political reconciliation for Musharraf with the political party. People’s power wins and the new government has given an option to Musharraf, either resign or face the impeachments in parliament. He thought, military will give him a hand to put the situation under his control nevertheless the new general was Musharraf man too, but then it didn’t materialised. Army also want him to leave the office in honour rather than facing impeachments. Musharraf have no choices rather then bow to the pressure and decided to resign. Whether the impeachments will continue or not may be is not a big issue any more but the victory to demote the president belongs to the people’s power. This is the second classical tragedy in Asia after the fallen of Nepal’s monarchy system. Politicians around the world shall take this case’s as a lesson for their political survival. As far as “Rule of Law” institutionalised in the government administration, people’s power and aspiration honoured until then they will lead the masses.
