Financial Source of Al-Qaeda

In New Terrorism, the capability to run the rough activity was very high. Terrorist don’t depends on any financial aid either individually or by a state. The terrorist need to generate the fund if they want to carry out their operation. Eight source has been identified which I will say equally have contributed the cash to procure the explosion equipment. The eight sources are:

i. Individual contribution; ii. Donations from religious body iii. Hawala system; iv. Smuggling; v. Public and Al-Qaeda members donations throught zakat dan infaq system donations; vi. Legally set-up businesses by Al-Qaeda especially in South-East Asia; vii. Criminal activities such as kidnapping, illegal equipment supplying and other type of activities; and viii. Money laundering activity.

I don’t deny, more new strategy has been implemented to dismantle the financial aid network to terrorist but we shall not take it for granted. Although it’s look like we are in secure environment but there is no bill of guarantee to our life. Much need to be done to prevent the act of terrorism rather than cry fool after the attacks.
