Intelligence Officer Under Threat

Alex Allan, Britain’s senior intelligence officer who has direct access to Prime Minister Gordon Brown might have been poisoned but thus far officials have no indication of foul play in his collapse. His last position was chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee (cabinet level group) responsible for providing and advising Gordon Brown and other government senior officials with intelligence review and assessment dealing with national security. Last Friday, he collapsed and rushed to a London hospital and now in coma. Last year Alexander Litvinenko, ex-Russian spy was poisoned to death with polonium-210. He died in a London hospital in November 2007. So far no information whether there is any link with the earlier case.
