Iran's Military Capability

[updated: 14/7/2008, 18:20] Iran has activated his military battalion’s and aggressively is running their “dry-run” war game and Israel too are doing the same thing. Israel has triggered Iran to activate their military after Israeli’s Prime Minister said, “Israel will attack Iran before Iran have the nuclear capability.” Even, US defence secretary press statement has triggered Iran to take the aggressive decision. After Iraq, US and Israel are looking at Iran as their potential threat. Of course, Iran’s President who continuously preaching “Israel must wiped out from the world map” will force Israel to take early precautions. Israel believes nuclear weapons in Iran’s hand are dangerous and they must go all out to make sure the Iranian’s rights to have their own nuclear capability deny in whatever mean. While I believe, Iran’s must stop saying “wipe out Israel’s from the world map” strongly I do agree, Israel too must stop any hurting statement against Iran. Let see what Iran’s military capability is. Ground forces strength; Main battle tanks 1,613 unit, reconnaissance vehicles 35 unit, armoured infantry fighting vehicles 610 unit, armoured personnel carriers 640 unit, artillery units 9,196 army and helicopters 311 (223 Army + 30 Navy + 34 Air Force + 24 paramilitary). Naval forces have 6 submarines, 6 navy principal surface combatants including carriers, cruisers, destroyer and frigates. Patrol and coastal combatants have 320 (140 Navy + 50 Revolutionary Guard Corps + 130 paramilitary). Mine warfare ships 5 unit and amphibious ships 21 unit. Air force strength, fighter aircraft 286 and transport aircraft 136 (17 Army + 13 Navy + 104 Air Force + 2 paramilitary). Electronic warfare and intelligence aircraft only 3 belongs to navy. Maritime patrol aircraft, 8 (3 navy + 5 Air force). Iran doesn’t have; Long-range bomber aircraft; Anti-submarine warfare aircraft; Airborne early warning aircraft; Nuclear warheads. Definitely Israel has all the listed military equipment with a huge number. Iran’s military capability considerably weak compared with Israel and US but that not mean Iran will revert their decision to counter attack if Iran’s soil under attack from Israel’s or their allies. What ever I strongly believe, war is not the answer to bring peace to Middle East region. Member of middle-east country shall sit down in round-table and have a positive dialogue to solve the problem. No point to talk with bombs because bomb has no brains but human beings do have. Why can’t we use our brains to bring the peace rather than sending bombs to talk to people?
