Response Time?

NST on August 7, 2008, reported, police arrested a 37 year old man the day before, after he caused a commotion “his car contained a bomb.” He parked his Proton Wira Aeroback in front of KL Sentral at 11.14am and walked to the security officers and told them he thought there was a bomb in his car. The bomb disposal unit was called immediately but they arrived after 30 minutes. When I read, “30 minutes” then I'm shocked and have no option other than putting a big questions mark, WHAT IS OUR BOMB DISPOSAL UNIT RESPONSE TIME? KL Sentral is very much near to Brickfields District Police Stations either Police headquarters Bukit Aman yet they need 30 minutes to reach the locations. This is not a good response time. Imagine if the bomb was really installed and set to blast in 30 minutes from the time the man reported to the security officers? By the time the disposal unit reach the location, the bomb + car will go to the pieces as the beauty went off. May be police shall look into the contigency plan set by fire fighting department. Normally the department will sent the mobile unit using motorbike to reach the locations before the bigger team followed.
