Abu Sayaff Group

News report says a Sri Lankan peace activist was kidnapped by Abu Sayaff Group(ASG) in Southern Philippines. The victim was identified as Omar Jalil from "Non-Violent Peace Force" was taken away by nine gunmen from his residence in coastal Lamitan town in Basilan island early Friday (13 Feb 2009). ASG, notorius terror group known for ransom kidnappings and violence attacks. They was well suppported with the speed boat. Neighbours especially Malaysia must enhance the security at Northern Sabah to avoid any untowards incidents.
