2. Various open sources have reported that five hostages had escaped from the Sydney Café. How they successfully managed to slip-off the gunman (GM), is yet to be divulged. As of now, it appears there is only one GM inside the cafe. However, it was reported that apparently this GM is claiming to have four IED’s, two emplaced inside the café and another two in other unknown locations in Sydney.

3. He has demanded to speak with Prime Minister Abott and wanted an Islamic State (IS) flag delivered to him. It was also reported that he is willing to swap a hostage for a flag.

4. Working on this background, that has been reported so far, it appears the GM to be a “lone wolf” in the cafe, but most likely there are others who are assisting him from behind the scene, particularly to get weapons including IEDs.

5. The terrorists’ sleeper cells may have been activated either to mobilise support or to launch an attacks at the different locations. While the whole nations now are focused in Sydney siege, there are possibilities for terrorists to launch major attacks in other part of the region or at the world strategic installations.

6. Henceforth, the authorities should not underestimate the situation and what has started in Sydney shall be viewed as an attack against human security.

Will update when more information gained…
