Anthrax

Anthrax is a disease caused by Bacillus anthracis, a microbe that lives in soil. In 2001, the world was shocked after 5 people died and more than 22 was sick due to the Anthrax spread with purposedly through the U.S. mail. After the incident, if any one caught with the microbe they can be detained or charged under the anti-terrorism act. Even in Malaysia, we was in high alert after a few powder contain envelope posted to a US Embassy in KL. This was one of the example of non-traditional threat but very dangerous yet we don't have much information on how to handle the situation if someone affected by the microbe. Source said Anthrax affects farm animals more often than people. Anthrax can cause three forms of disease in people. They are: i. Cutaneous, which affects the skin. People with cuts or open sores can get it if they touch the bacteria; ii. Inhalation, which affects the lungs. You can get this if you breathe in spores of the bacteria and iii. Gastrointestinal, which affects the digestive system. You can get it by eating infected meat. Antibiotics often cure anthrax if it is diagnosed early but please remember you wont know that you are affected until medical officer said so and most of the time it's too late. A vaccine to prevent anthrax is available for military personnel but not for the civilian. So guys, don't threaten your family members with the talcum powder's because if your zodiac is bad then you might end-up in Kamunting Detention Centre.........
